The purpose of the financial disclosure process is to share a clear, up-to-date summary of your financial situation. This includes what you earn, what you own, and living expenses. Sharing a clear financial picture with the Court and your spouse is very important. Accurate answers make it easier to negotiate an end to the divorce. This is often the first impression the Court has of you. If you share incorrect information about your financial situation it can delay your divorce and endanger your property.
